INTERNATIONAL WEEKEND RETREAT
with Dr. Are Holen
Friday 11 April- Sunday 13 April 2008

VenueThe retreat provides an opportunity for training at the three-hour level of long meditations. In small guidance groups, led by experienced instructors, you will discuss your meditative experiences. Meeting and discussing with other practitioners of meditation is useful and inspiring. In the seminars you may discuss different aspects of Acem Meditation and achieve a deeper understanding of the method.

The main lecturer at the retreat will be Dr. Are Holen. He is Acem's founder and head of Acem International. He is a psychiatrist, and currently holds the position as Dean of Medical Education at the Faculty of Medicine, Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim. In his seminars, he will discuss meditation experiences and the psychology of Acem Meditation - both practical and existential issues.

In charge of the retreat is Eva Skaar; she works as an artist. In Acem, she is an initiator and responsible for Acem's activities in the UK.
